UPDATE: During last night’s Agent involved shooting, a Laredo Sector Border Patrol Agent sustained significant injuries to his legs as he was pinned between two vehicles.

The agent was released from the hospital this morning and is now recovering. The suspect responsible for the assault on our Border Patrol Agent was pronounced dead at the scene.

As Human and Drug Smuggling activities continue to increase in the Gateway City, the National Border Patrol Council will continue to strongly support President Trump as he works to secure our border.
