Border Patrol Agents Apprehending migrants infected with SCABIES!

Local 2455 Members,

Border Patrol Agents in the Laredo Sector have come into contact and treated numerous members of the migrant caravan for serious illnesses, including SCABIES.

SCABIES is a parasitic skin infection that is highly contagious. Scabies is caused by a mite that burrows into skin and lays eggs, causing an intense itching and rash.

Border Patrol Agents are encouraged to use PERSONAL PROTECTIVE GEAR including Latex or Non-Latex Gloves, Long-Sleeve Shirts, and to take precautions, including Frequent Hand Washing, Decontaminating Processing Areas and Decontaminating their Uniforms.
