Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents continue to intercept human smuggling operations, including individuals concealed in toolboxes and vehicle compartments.

The smugglers in these cases were charged under 8 USC 1324 (Alien Smuggling), a federal felony offense.

The individuals found in the country illegally were charged under 8 USC 1325(a) (Improper Entry by an Alien).

There is still a lot of work to be done on the Border—but our agents remain vigilant.
