American communities will continue to suffer at the hands of transnational gangs, cartels and violent criminals preying on innocent Americans if the US-Mexico Border is not secured.

The lives and security of the American people are at stake, and the Laredo Sector of the National Border Patrol Council will not stand silent while career politicians pay lip service to the safety of Americans.

To that end, the Laredo Sector of the National Border Patrol Council Local 2455, the organization which represents approximately 1,300 Border Patrol Agents, is endorsing Lubbock Mayor Glen Robertson for Congress.

Unlike his opponent in the Texas Congressional District 19 race, Glen Robertson is an outsider who has created hundreds of jobs, pledged to bring about aggressive reform of our border security apparatus and common sense to our Nation’s immigration laws. Mayor Robertson is completely independent of special interests. Our country does not need a person who has the perfect Washington-approved tone, and certainly not another establishment politician.

Mayor Glen Robertson has been to the Laredo Sector of the border and has joined U.S. Border Patrol Agents in the fight to secure our borders. More importantly, he has LISTENED to field agents about their concerns with federal leadership. Mayor Robertson is a man of his word who doesn't embrace political correctness, who doesn't need special interest money or donations from career politicians and political operatives. Glen Robertson is pro-military and values law enforcement, and is angry that our Border Patrol agents are not being afforded the support or leadership we need to simply do our jobs. Glen Robertson will be our most effective voice in Congress.
